Hey MCU Fandom,
How are we today? Are we excited? Scared? Happy? Traumatised? A manic ball of emotions that won’t be able to properly rest until the release of Avengers: Endgame April 26, 2019?
It’s the latter for me.
Today was my final day of classes for the term and just before the start of class this morning, I logged into Twitter to see that the trailer we have all been anxiously waiting for since the end of Infinity War had been released.
The rest of the day was an absolute write off because the only thing on my mind was the trailer and what we are in for come April.
Here are the things that (traumatised me) stood out the most to me in the trailer:
SAVE TONY STARK 2k19
I legit don’t even have the words for this. Enough is enough. SOMEONE GO AND BRING HIM BACK TO EARTH RIGHT NOW!!
*COUGH* Captain Marvel *COUGH*
WHERE. IS. SHURI?
In this clip Bruce is looking through the list of Avengers who Thanos snapped to dust. We all know that Scott isn’t dust as the end of Ant-Man and The Wasp ended with him being trapped in a quantum realm. We also see a picture of Shuri that transitions into a picture of Peter on the far right. We saw Peter turn to dust in Tony’s arms, but Shuri is a wild card as we didn’t see what happened to her after the snap. What is clear is that no one was able to locate her in Wakanda post-war hence why she is included in the pictures with Scott and Peter. I refuse to believe she died. Maybe she is hiding somewhere conjuring up cool tech to defeat Thanos once and for all?
THE WORLDS GREATEST GRANDMA WILL SAVE US ALL!
The only bright spot in the entire trailer is seeing that Scott made it out of the quantum realm (with some assistance from Ghost?)
SOMEONE GIVE HAWKEYE AND THOR A HUG
Hawkeye…or I guess it’s Ronin now…clearly has nothing to lose since the snap. It’s more than likely that this is due to the fact his family was turned to dust. I’m praying that he gets a happy ending because along with Tony, Clint deserves better.
And Thor. Oh man. Not only has he lost his entire family like Clint, but he has lost his entire kingdom. HE NEEDS A HUG.
Well, I better get back to watching the trailer for the 100th time and over analysing every frame and fan theory until the Spring. Hang in there everyone! We can get through this!
